Bare Nang Music BNM was formed with the main aim of helping to provide a forum for the development and promotion of young bands and performers from across the Oxfordshire area - helping them build experience, confidence and a fan base in a safe, positive arena. Bare Nang Music events are open to anyone 14+ and in order to provide a safe, pleasant atmosphere for all, our bars are be Alcohol Free.... "It's the Music that Matters" Working with an increasing number of clubs and other venues, we are aiming to increase the opportunities available to young bands and music performers. CATCH 22 Newbie bands that have been formed in schools, youth clubs and pubs usually start practicing in someone's bedroom or garage and aspire to performing in venues with a live audience. This is often a daunting and prohibitive goal as many venues are well booked in advance and rely on established, known bands for revenue and are reluctant to book new, inexperienced performers. "Get the experience and we will book you" NEWBIE NIGHTS We are committed to provide events specifically designed for new bands or performers who may have little or no experience and even very little performance material - perhaps performing only one or two numbers!! Newbie Nights are open to solo performers (vocalists and musicians) who may be looking to showcase their tallents in order to attract either a place in a band or help form a band.... There is a distinct chance that someone performing at a Newbie Night will be asked to perform, supporting known bands who appear on our Band Nights! There is NO Limit to the number of times a 'Newbie" can appear - return appearances are encouraged! - The more the better - it's all experience!!!!!. Band Nights We hold regular Band Nights supporting and promoting young tallented bands and performers from across Oxfordshire. Lesser experienced bands support better-known bands - often sharing equipment, advice and anecdotes. Bookers, managers and agents are welcome to visit bands appearing at our Band Nights particularly if there is a chance that a record signing may be in the offing. We compile a review of each gig for our website and each event is recorded (in part) so that suitable edits can support any review that appears. We are happy for aspiring photographers, film makers, journalists, critics and reporters to contribute pieces for our site!!!
